Megan Was Told Her Son Spilled the Drink — Then She Noticed One Detail in the Diner Camera Footage
Chapter 2 — The Waiter’s Hand
Brandon restarted the clip.
This time Megan watched only his right hand.
He approached the booth carrying two glasses.
He set Megan’s drink down.
Then Tyler’s.
Tyler never reached for it.
Brandon’s fingers remained around the top of the glass for a second longer than necessary.
Then he turned his wrist.
The glass tipped.
Not accidentally.
Deliberately.
Megan paused the video herself.
“There.”
Brandon looked at the screen.
“That’s not what happened.”
Tyler frowned.
“We just watched it.”
Megan zoomed in.
Brandon’s hand was clearly visible.
His fingers pushed the glass sideways before releasing it.
“You knocked it over,” Megan said.
Brandon’s face tightened.
“It slipped.”
“Then why did you blame my son?”
“I thought he moved it.”
Tyler shook his head.
“You said you saw me do it.”
Brandon didn’t answer.
Megan looked around the diner.
The lunch crowd continued eating.
Most people hadn’t noticed anything.
She lowered her voice.
“Why would you intentionally spill a drink?”
Brandon stared at her.
“I didn’t.”
Megan tapped the screen.
“Then explain your hand.”
He reached for the tablet.
Megan pulled it away.
“Not yet.”
Brandon’s expression changed.
Tyler noticed something else.
“Mom.”
“What?”
He pointed toward the corner of the recording.
A man sat alone at the counter.
Dark jacket.
Baseball cap.
He wasn’t eating.
He was watching their booth.
And just before Brandon tipped the glass, the man gave him a small nod.
