Waiter Jason Blamed Lucas for the Spilled Soda — Then the Restaurant Camera Showed Rachel What Really Happened

Chapter 4 — Booth 7

Mark took them into the small office behind the kitchen.

Rachel had no intention of getting involved in a restaurant employment dispute.

But Lucas didn’t want to leave.

“He lied about me,” he whispered.

“I know.”

“But maybe someone lied about him too.”

Rachel looked at Jason.

He heard the comment.

He looked embarrassed.

“Your kid’s smarter than me today.”

Mark searched the security archive.

Thursday.

2:16 PM.

Booth 7.

The complaint said Jason dropped a tray beside an elderly customer.

The footage showed Jason working on the opposite side of the restaurant.

He never went near Booth 7.

Mark stared at the screen.

“That’s impossible.”

Jason leaned closer.

“I told Denise that.”

“What did she say?”

“That cameras don’t show everything.”

Mark opened the coffee-spill complaint.

Same result.

Jason wasn’t involved.

In fact, the footage showed another server carrying the coffee.

A young woman named Megan.

She stumbled slightly.

Coffee splashed onto the floor.

No customer was hit.

No complaint appeared justified.

Jason sat down.

“So why would Denise fake complaints against me?”

Mark didn’t answer.

Then Lucas pointed toward the screen.

“Who’s that?”

A man in a dark baseball cap had been sitting alone at Booth 6.

He appeared in both recordings.

Mark zoomed in.

Jason stared.

“I know him.”

Rachel looked at him.

“Who?”

Jason answered slowly.

“Denise’s brother.”
