Noah Was Pulled Away From a Hotel Luggage Cart — Then His Toy Truck Revealed What Someone Had Hidden Beside the Wheel
Chapter 6 — Eric Dalton
Eric had worked at the Grand Bellmore Hotel for nine years.
He was trusted.
Friendly.
Guests remembered him.
He handled complaints.
Special requests.
Anniversaries.
Birthdays.
And upgrades.
Most importantly, he knew when guests planned to leave their rooms.
Restaurant reservations.
Tour bookings.
Airport cars.
Event schedules.
Rebecca looked sick.
“He has more information than bell services.”
Grant reviewed Eric’s access history.
Nothing suspicious appeared.
Eric’s own employee card had never opened the affected rooms.
That was exactly the point.
Someone used temporary cards instead.
Then hotel cameras revealed another detail.
On three theft dates, Eric visited the administrative hallway shortly before a temporary card was issued under somebody else’s credentials.
But there was still no direct proof he used the cards.
Rebecca called Eric to the office.
He arrived smiling.
Then saw Marcus.
The smile disappeared.
“What’s going on?”
Grant placed the three temporary cards on the desk.
Eric stared at them.
“Never seen them.”
Marcus said nothing.
Grant showed him the handwritten room list.
“This?”
Eric shook his head.
“No.”
Then Emily noticed something.
Eric’s eyes kept returning to one particular card.
T-1184.
She pointed toward it.
“Why do you keep looking at that one?”
Eric laughed nervously.
“I’m not.”
Then Noah spoke.
“That’s the man.”
Eric turned.
Noah pointed toward his shoes.
Bright red.
Eric’s expression changed.
Grant immediately asked him to remain in the office.
But Eric shook his head.
“You can’t accuse me because a kid saw my shoes.”
He was right.
They needed more.
Then Marcus remembered something.
“The luggage tags.”
