Salted cocoa crust.
Daniel created the filling.
Marcus perfected the baking temperature.
Helen helped them test batch after batch in the bakery kitchen.
“So you entered together?” Ethan asked.
Daniel’s expression hardened.
“That’s what I thought.”
The brothers prepared their final tray together.
Then Daniel became sick the morning of the competition.
High fever.
Helen forced him to stay home.
Marcus took the dessert to the event.

Daniel was thrilled.

Daniel confronted him.
Marcus insisted he had told the judges they created the recipe together.

A prestigious culinary program wanted Marcus.
Only Marcus.

“Did he take it?” Ethan asked.

The brothers had one final argument.
