Mason Found Ryan’s Missing Soccer Gear Inside a Black Case — Then Coach Sarah Checked the Field Cameras
Chapter 4 — Assistant Coach Derek
Derek laughed.
“Seriously?”
Sarah didn’t respond.
She looked at Tyler.
“Did Coach Derek tell you to move that case?”
Tyler’s eyes filled with panic.
“He said it was training equipment.”
Derek immediately interrupted.
“That’s a lie.”
Sarah raised one hand.
“Let him finish.”
Tyler explained.
Earlier that afternoon, Derek asked him to collect a black case from the storage room.
He told Tyler to leave it beside Field Two.
Tyler didn’t open it.
He assumed it contained cones or practice equipment.
“Why wear Jake’s jacket?” Sarah asked.
Tyler looked embarrassed.
“Mine was wet.”
Jake nodded.
“I gave it to him after school.”
Sarah looked at Derek.
“Did you ask Tyler to move the case?”
Derek shook his head.
“Absolutely not.”
“Then we check another camera.”
His expression changed.
Sarah opened the hallway camera outside the equipment room.
At 3:25 PM, Derek appeared.
He unlocked the storage door.
Two minutes later, Tyler arrived.
Derek pointed inside.
Tyler entered.
Then came out carrying the black case.
Nobody spoke.
Sarah paused the recording.
“Want to try again?”
Derek stared at the screen.
“I asked him to move it.”
“Why?”
“I thought it was club equipment.”
Mason looked toward the case.
“Then how did Ryan’s stuff get inside?”
Derek said nothing.
Sarah opened the equipment-room recording.
And suddenly the story became much worse.
