Sarah took the equipment case into the club office.
Mason followed.
Assistant coach Derek Walsh was already inside.
“What’s going on?”
Sarah placed the case on the table.
“Ryan’s missing gear just turned up.”
Derek stared at it.
“Where?”
“Field Two.”
He looked toward Mason.
“You found it?”
Mason nodded.
“But I didn’t put it there.”
Derek laughed softly.
“Nobody said you did.”
Sarah didn’t laugh.
She opened the security system.
The club stored fourteen days of footage.
She selected Field Two.
Then rewound forty minutes.
The field was empty.
No equipment case.
At 3:17 PM, a groundskeeper crossed the pitch.
At 3:24, two younger players entered through the opposite gate.
Then, at 3:31, a figure appeared near the storage building.
Sarah leaned closer.
The person wore a dark hooded jacket.
They carried the black case with both hands.
Mason stared at the screen.
“Who is that?”
The figure walked toward the touchline.
Placed the case down.
Then turned away.
For one second, the hood moved.
Sarah paused the footage.
Derek stopped smiling.
Mason looked at him.
The jacket belonged to someone they all knew.
