Page after page contained Elias’s handwriting.

Then a final design revision matching the production Model Seven.
Mr. Dawson sat down.
“I’ve never seen any of this.”
Maria looked at him.
“Neither had I.”
Her father rarely complained.
He told Maria that “a whole team” built Model Seven.
He never claimed ownership.

Legally, the situation was complicated.

Several ideas belonged to the company under employment agreements.
But Elias was not arguing about ownership.
